Wendy Crockett and Liza Miller completed a coordinated motorcycle journey across the continental United States to create the largest GPS artwork ever produced by a motorcycle pair. Their 13,204-mile geospatial inscription spelling "WRWR 2026" served as the flagship United States activation of the Women Riders World Relay 2026 initiative while establishing a new world record in coordinated GPS art.
Transparent Adjudicator's Statement
Summary of Claim
The claim sought recognition for the largest coordinated GPS artwork intentionally created by two motorcycle riders operating as a pair. The completed artwork measured 13,204 miles and consisted of a planned geospatial inscription spanning much of the continental United States. The route was designed to form the letters "WRWR 2026" while supporting the international Women Riders World Relay 2026 movement.
Evidence Submitted
Complete Spotwalla GPS tracking archive
Garmin InReach tracking data
Timestamped GPS position reports documenting the entire route
Start and finish coordinate verification
Mileage calculations generated from the completed Spotwalla route
Route maps demonstrating the completed artwork
Supporting photographic documentation
Event planning documentation and route design materials
Comparative and Cross-Archive Benchmark Review
Atlas World Records conducted a comparative review of publicly available records maintained by all major world record organizations, together with historically significant GPS artwork projects documented within the endurance riding and geospatial art communities. Among the most notable benchmarks reviewed was Yasushi Takahashi's celebrated "Marry Me" GPS artwork across Japan, widely regarded as one of the most iconic GPS drawings ever completed by a single motorcycle rider. While Takahashi's achievement helped establish GPS riding as a legitimate artistic medium, the "WRWR 2026" project expanded the discipline substantially, producing a coordinated geospatial artwork measuring 13,204 miles—several times larger in overall route length—while requiring continuous coordination between two riders over twenty-four days. Additional large-scale GPS art projects created by individuals and teams using motorcycles and other modes of transportation were also reviewed. No verified record was identified for the largest coordinated GPS drawing by a motorcycle pair, and no larger coordinated motorcycle artwork of comparable scale was found within the publicly available archives examined.
Verification Methodology
Atlas World Records verified the attempt through Spotwalla using synchronized Garmin InReach tracking data recorded continuously throughout the duration of the ride. The completed GPS track consisted of thousands of sequential timestamped geospatial position reports, each preserving the riders' precise coordinates and route continuity.
The adjudication team reviewed the complete Spotwalla dataset, confirmed the documented start and finish locations, verified continuity of the coordinated route, and confirmed that the completed artwork intentionally formed the inscription "WRWR 2026." The official record measurement of 13,204 miles reflects the calculated length of the completed GPS artwork as reported through the Spotwalla platform. The riders traveled an additional 344 miles outside the completed artwork for positioning and transit; these miles were intentionally excluded from the official record metric.
Adjudication Findings
The submitted evidence demonstrated a continuous, coordinated, and intentionally designed GPS artwork executed exclusively by Wendy Crockett and Liza Miller over a twenty-four-day period. The GPS data provided sufficient precision to verify route continuity, artwork completion, and the official mileage measurement. The evidence further established that the completed inscription was created as designed and represented a coordinated geospatial artwork rather than an incidental travel route.
Conclusion
Following a comprehensive forensic review of the submitted GPS tracking data, mapping records, and supporting documentation, Atlas World Records finds that Wendy Crockett and Liza Miller successfully established the world record for the Largest Coordinated GPS Drawing by Motorcycle Pair with an officially verified artwork distance of 13,204 miles. The achievement represents a unique combination of endurance riding, navigational precision, geospatial design, and international community engagement through the Women Riders World Relay 2026 initiative.
