TERMS & CONDITIONS
1. Eligibility
By using our Services, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, and that you have the legal authority to enter into these Terms.
2. Services
Atlas World Records (“Atlas”) provides record verification, certification, and related services for individuals, brands, and organizations. Certifications are based solely on the evidence and information submitted by applicants and reviewed at the time of certification. Atlas does not guarantee certification outcomes, and all adjudicator decisions are final unless formally revised under Section 6 (Right to Re-Evaluate or Revoke).
3. Payments and Refunds
All fees for applications are due upfront. Once review or adjudication has begun, fees are non-refundable. If an application is denied, applicants may be offered discounted re-application at Atlas’s discretion.
4. Certification Basis
All Atlas certifications are granted based solely on materials and evidence submitted, reviewed, and verified at the time of certification. Certifications represent Atlas’s recognition of a record achievement as of the certification date and do not constitute a perpetual or exclusive guarantee that the record is the best possible achievement in the world.
5. Non-Exclusivity and Competing Records
Atlas World Records acknowledges that other record-keeping organizations (including but not limited to Guinness World Records, World Record Academy, and RecordSetter) may recognize different results or methodologies. The existence of competing or contradictory certifications does not invalidate or diminish Atlas’s certification, nor does it create any liability for Atlas.
6. Right to Re-Evaluate or Revoke
Atlas reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to re-evaluate, amend, or revoke a certification if:
(a) new, compelling evidence becomes available;
(b) fraudulent or materially misleading information is discovered; or
(c) Atlas determines that certification was granted in error.
No refund or damages shall be owed in such cases, although discounted re-application may be offered.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Atlas shall not be liable for any losses, damages, reputational harm, or claims arising out of:
-
competing certifications issued by other organizations,
-
subsequent recognition of superior achievements by others,
-
reliance by any party on Atlas’s certification as a permanent or exclusive declaration, or
-
applicant misrepresentation or submission of false or unlawful evidence.
8. Intellectual Property
All website content, technologies (including AtlasEngine™), and branding elements are the property of Atlas and are protected by intellectual property laws. By submitting materials for certification, you grant Atlas a worldwide, non-exclusive license to use, display, and share the materials for certification, publicity, and archival purposes.
9. User Responsibilities
Applicants must not submit fraudulent, misleading, or unlawful evidence, and must not infringe upon the intellectual property or rights of third parties.
10. Nature of Atlas Services
Atlas functions solely as an independent adjudicator and verifier of evidence. Atlas does not warrant that any certified record will remain unchallenged, unsurpassed, or universally recognized.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States and the State of New Jersey, without regard to its conflict of laws provisions.
