THE MODERN
WORLD RECORD
AUTHORITY

Atlas World Records has reimagined what world-record certification should be — accessible, professional, and transparently verified.

For decades, getting a world record certified has been a slow, confusing process. Applicants submit, wait, and wonder — often for months — only to face unclear standards or surprise fees.

Atlas was created to change that. We believe recognition should move at the speed of achievement.
Our expert adjudicators work with modern verification tools that organize and analyze evidence quickly and accurately. Every submission is reviewed for authenticity, consistency, and fairness — so your achievement is recognized without the wait or the guesswork.

You achieve it. Atlas proves it — beyond doubt, worldwide.

OUR CERTIFICATION PROCESS

LET'S GET STARTED
Setting a record with Atlas World Records is straightforward—and for individuals, it starts completely free.

Step 1: Submit for Free Verification
If you’ve already achieved something incredible and have evidence to prove it, start here — no payment required.
Our adjudicators review your evidence and determine whether your attempt meets Atlas standards for certification. You’ll receive a clear determination — usually within 72 hours — confirming whether your attempt qualifies as a certifiable world record.

Free Verification is available exclusively to individual record holders. For small businesses, community groups, and nonprofits, a $200 adjudication fee applies. Submissions from larger businesses and brands fall under our Professional category, with pricing provided privately based on project scope and details. If you’re unsure which category applies, simply email us — we’ll point you in the right direction.

Step 2: Upgrade to Certification
Once AtlasEngine™ verifies your attempt, you’ll be eligible to make it official with Atlas certification.

FAQ

Does Atlas World Records offer gift cards for record certification?
Yes. Atlas World Records offers digital gift cards that can be applied toward any certification package. Whether you’re surprising a friend, supporting a family member’s attempt, or giving a brand the chance to set a record, gift cards make it easy to cover application fees or upgrades. Gift cards are delivered instantly by email, never expire, and can be redeemed across Solo, Community, or Professional record categories.
What happens if my record attempt is not approved?
If your attempt cannot be certified, Atlas provides a clear explanation and guidance for improvement. We also offer a 50% discount on resubmission, giving you the opportunity to refine your attempt and succeed on your next try. Our goal is to help you achieve recognition, not deny it.
Can world record certification help my brand or social media campaign?
Absolutely. Atlas-certified record attempts have been used by brands, influencers, and creators to power marketing campaigns, live activations, and viral social media content. A world record is more than just a title—it’s a moment that generates press coverage, engagement, and cultural impact.
How is Atlas different from other certifiers?
Atlas World Records is a modern, forward-thinking alternative built on three principles:

-
Transparent Verification — Modern digital systems and independent timestamping make certification faster, clearer, forensically precise, and permanent.
 -
Open Archives — We verify achievements against the global web, not behind closed walls. Records belong to history, not a private vault.
 -
Meaningful Titles — We honor the spirit of your achievement instead of forcing it into rigid or outdated categories.

What is AtlasEngine™ and how does it work?
AtlasEngine™ is our proprietary verification system that helps organize and analyze evidence efficiently so our adjudicators can focus on analyzing and documenting facts. It supports faster, more consistent decisions while maintaining human judgment at the core.
Why did you create an alternative to Guinness World Records?
We’ve heard many stories from people frustrated with the “old guard” of record certification. Complaints range from poor communication and meritless rejections to entire categories of records being erased from history. We felt there could be a better, more transparent way to celebrate human achievement. Atlas World Records was created as a modern alternative—culturally relevant, professional, and open to record-setters worldwide.

Is Atlas World Records connected with any professional record keeping or archival institutions?
Atlas World Records follows the professional standards and best practices established by leading archival and information-management organizations — including ARMA International, the Society of American Archivists (SAA), the International Council on Archives (ICA), the Association for Intelligent Information Management (AIIM), the National Digital Stewardship Alliance (NDSA), and the Digital Preservation Coalition (DPC).
